When growth outpaced the platform.
Horsey People's giveaways were working, and that was the problem. Every major draw brought more members and more transactions than the existing platform could comfortably handle.
The Challenge
Entries, memberships and purchases arrive in sharp spikes around each giveaway launch and draw. The original platform slowed under that load, which put transactions, member trust and revenue at risk at exactly the moments that mattered most. Every entry also had to stay compliant with Australian trade promotion rules and resist abuse.
The System
We designed a new platform architecture and built a custom set of APIs to handle entries, memberships and rewards as a dedicated system, separate from the public website. Each part can now take its share of the load without slowing down the rest.
The Solution
A scalable giveaway engine that processes high volumes of transactions reliably, with compliant entry flows, VIP membership tiers, one-off entry packages and a members' rewards area, all connected under a single account for each member.
